I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of North Carolina who specializes in working with Adults. I have worked at Wake County Outpatient Clinic for Adults in Cary for three years as a psychotherapist and at Holly Hills Hospital for one year on the inpatient unit as a social worker. My internships were at Dorothea Dix Hospital working with male patients with severe and persistent mental illness and at Kaiser Permanente as an outpatient psychotherapist. I hold membership in The National Association of Social Workers, The International Transactional Analysis Association, and The Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree in 1997 at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. I have received specialized training with adults using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) from Dr. Clive Robbins at Duke University; hypnotherapy with Dr. Bob Dick, Human Resources Consultants in Raleigh; Transactional Analysis (TA) from Dr. Vann Joines and Energy Psychology from Dr. Gary Peterson both of the Southeast Institute for Group & Family Therapy in Chapel Hill, NC. I completed training for Cosmic Freedom Qigong (CFQ) Level I and Level II from Dr. Hew at the Southeast Institute in Chapel Hill in 2004. Certified EDxTM practitioner in June 2005 by Fred Gallo, Ph.D. and Vann Joines, Ph.D. Certified in Seemorg Matrix Works, January 2007 by Asha Clinton, Ph.D. Summer of 2007, certificate for Past-Life Regression Therapy with Brian L. Weiss, M.D. and Carole K. Weiss, MSW, CHt. I received a Master of Science social psychology in 1983 at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. The previous year, 1982, I received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology graduating with cum laude honors. For two years following my degree in social psychology, I worked as an Industrial/Organizational psychologist for a computer manufacturing company where I provided teambuilding and stress management for business executives. For twelve years prior to receiving my MSW, I owned and operated a software development company with my husband.

I take a practical approach to understanding individuals. My role is to assist you in finding a solution to your issues. I have found using Energy Psychology tools such as EFT and Seemorg Matrix Works have been beneficial for clients in making their desired self-change.
